Following the reconstruction project, Vilniaus Street Boulevard and Vasario 16-osios Street in Šiauliai were renewed, creating an aesthetically pleasing and comfortable public space. The historical street profile was restored, new granite and clinker pavements were installed, and the stormwater drainage system was upgraded. In the boulevard area, flowerbeds and greenery were landscaped, and new trees were planted to replace deteriorated linden trees.
The Rūdė Fountain and the fountain near the “Šiauliai” hotel were reconstructed, and small architectural elements were added to create a more welcoming environment for pedestrians. At the intersection of Vilniaus and Rūdės Streets, the outdoor amphitheater was renovated with 150 seats for spectators and two canopies for spatial separation and stage protection.
On Vasario 16-osios Street, the asphalt pavement of the carriageway was renewed, and new concrete pavers were installed in the pedestrian zone. The stormwater system was upgraded, new trees were planted, and small architectural elements were added. This reconstruction not only improved the visual appeal of the city but also created a more comfortable environment for both residents and visitors.
