Following the reconstruction project, the main entrance to Palanga was significantly upgraded to ensure smoother and safer traffic flow. The former two-lane road was expanded into a four-lane road, greatly improving traffic capacity. A deteriorated bridge over the Rąžė River was demolished and replaced with a new culvert. Additionally, four roundabouts were constructed, along with new pedestrian and bicycle paths, bus stops, and connector roads. The lighting system was modernized, retaining walls were installed to reinforce roadside zones, and stormwater drainage systems were implemented. These improvements enhanced traffic organization, increased safety, and provided more convenient access for both city residents and visiting vacationers.
