The Fegda Group has produced and donated eighty “dragon’s teeth” – concrete road barriers that hinder the movement of military vehicles.
We are proud that this meaningful initiative came from our company group employees – in an internal survey, our staff identified strengthening national defense as a priority area for social responsibility.
We decided to contribute to ensuring the security of our country by doing what we do best. The “Dragon’s Teeth” for the army were produced at the concrete factory of “Tilsta,” a company owned by the Fegda Group, in Vilnius. All the concrete barriers we produced have already been handed over to the army and distributed across counter-mobility parks in Lithuania. “We have long-standing experience in concrete production – we know everything about concrete manufacturing. So, the idea to produce concrete obstacles that hinder military vehicle movement – ‘Dragon’s Teeth’ – and donate them to the army came very naturally,” says Gediminas Gribulis, CEO of Fegda Group.
“Dragon’s Teeth” are roadblocks, especially effective in stopping tanks. These concrete obstacles are placed close to each other, often reinforced with barbed wire, and protected with mines and other protective measures.
The “Dragon’s Teeth” handed over to the Lithuanian army are special because they are even stronger and more durable than standard ones, as they are made from higher-class concrete.
“Now, more than ever, we clearly see that we must defend ourselves first. Only through our collective citizenship, initiative, and the real work of each of us can we protect our country, should the need arise,” says G. Gribulis.
