When we are invited to join value-important social initiatives, we say yes and look for solutions how

Having received an invitation from the Mayor of Vilnius, together with other Lithuanian construction companies, the companies of the Fegda Group are jointly looking for solutions to help demolish the ghost building – the abandoned houses of Moscow that are destroying the city.

The demolition works are now stuck in legal disputes for a long time, and the building has not been demolished for almost 1200 days. We delved into the situation on the ground and looked for solutions together with potential project partners.

“We are a civic and responsible business, we understand the importance and meaning of this idea and the entire geopolitical context around us, so we do not remain on the sidelines – we support the municipality’s initiative. We look at similar initiatives and invitations as a civic duty, not as a business. For us, the project of demolishing the Moscow House is not just the demolition of the building, it is the destruction of the symbol of the aggressor in a society that values democracy and peace. The initiative could be implemented more easily if as many businesses as possible joined the initiative – we could combine teams, equipment and competencies together, and share costs. We are analysing the technical aspects, the possible duration, the technical implementation, but in one form or another we could participate in the project of demolishing the Moscow House building and help the city get rid of the ghost that is destroying the face of the city as soon as possible,” says Gediminas Gribulis, the head of the Fegda Group.
