Group company “Tilsta” acquires a marine vessel – expanded capabilities for maritime infrastructure projects

The Fegda group company Tilsta, which carries out works in water port infrastructure, has acquired its first marine vessel. The tugboat “Fegda” has been registered in the International Maritime Organization (IMO) international ship registry. This enables the company to perform operations in the open sea and ensures the vessel’s location is visible in public monitoring systems.

Until now, while carrying out port infrastructure works, Tilsta relied on rented equipment for specific operations that also involved activities beyond port boundaries. With the acquisition of its own marine vessel, these functions can now be performed independently — providing greater technical autonomy, more flexible planning, and strengthening the capabilities of the entire group.

The first international voyage has already taken place — a company-owned pontoon was transported from Ventspils to Klaipėda, and it is planned to be named “SRP”. Currently, Fegda is actively operating in Klaipėda Port, participating in the construction of the Cruise Ship Terminal.

The vessel is operated by Tilsta’s internal crew – qualified seafarers holding all necessary permits and competencies for open-sea work. This ensures efficient work organization and high service quality.

The Fegda vessel is equipped with the Starlink satellite communication system, which guarantees a stable data connection even outside mobile network coverage and allows the ship to remain constantly visible in public ship-tracking systems.

The vessel’s name was chosen deliberately – “Fegda” was the first company from which the entire group’s history began. In this way, the group symbolically emphasizes continuous growth, shared values, and corporate identity.

The acquisition and international registration of the vessel strengthen our technical capacity and flexibility – especially where independence and speed are crucial,” says Tilsta’s General Director Eduardas Grinaveckas.
