The bridge has been named the Millennium Bridge of Lithuania. The bridge, along with the access road and the newly constructed 120-meter-long overpass, connects Putinų Street on the left bank of the Nemunas River with a newly constructed 3.5 km stretch of road. The bridge deck is a spatial, steel, uncut, girder deck. The spatial system of the deck consists of two parallel 3-meter-high double-T profile beams, which are interconnected by cross ties and transverse stiffening diaphragms above the supports. The bridge pavement is assembled on the steel structure of the deck by installing reinforced concrete products (deck slabs and parapet blocks), which are interconnected by installing monolithic sections. The capacity of the bridge is 30,000 vehicles per day.
