The major renovation of the apron, aircraft parking stands, and taxiways at the VGTU A. Gustaitis Aviation Institute Flight Training Base has been completed, significantly improving aviation study infrastructure and providing safer and more efficient conditions for both students and aviation professionals.
Completed Works:
- Reinforced foundations of taxiways and parking areas to ensure durability and resistance to heavy loads;
- Proper slope formation to enable safe and smooth aircraft movement;
- Replacement of asphalt concrete pavement to ensure smooth taxiing and reduce hazards caused by worn-out surfaces;
- Upgrading of safety strips around aircraft parking areas and taxiways to provide additional operational safety;
- Implementation of new markings to clearly designate aircraft movement zones and enhance flight safety.
This major renovation has significantly improved the conditions for students enrolled in aircraft piloting programs and aviation professionals, creating favorable conditions for practical training, exercises, and flight simulations.
