Buildings are the most common choice for those studying civil engineering

Because they are the closest, easiest to understand and clearest.

Bridges and roads more often come as a discovery.

That is why we participate in VILNIUS TECH – Vilnius Gediminas Technical University Career Days every year – to show the wider world of civil engineering.

This year, there was no shortage of interest: we received a lot of questions about internships, career opportunities and first steps while still studying.

It was nice to meet both those who have already done an internship with us and those who are just planning to join.

We gave gifts to scholarship holders, talked about design, construction and the fact that there are many professional paths to be found in our group.

Often, one conversation does not change everything.

But sometimes it is enough to replace “maybe buildings” with “maybe bridges and roads?”
