King Mindaugas Bridge, built at the foot of Gediminas Hill to commemorate the 750th anniversary of the coronation of the Grand Duke of Lithuania, became an important connection in the city. It links the Old Town of Vilnius with Žirmūnai, improving traffic and transport flows in the central part of the city. The bridge, with its modern architecture, not only serves an important infrastructural function but also blends harmoniously into the historical landscape of the capital.
